Pride or Fear?
“I’ll have to do it myself!” 🍿
How many times have I said these words? Countless!
It wasn’t from pride, although like most company owners, I did have a lot of pride. Tons!
I said it from a place of fear.
Primarily, the fear of losing money, but also the fear of having to go back and fix things which would cost more time.
Time equals money, right?
I was trying to save as much money as possible. I wanted my overhead to be super low because every dollar I didn’t spend stayed in my pocket.
But the more money I saved, the less money I made. It used to be problems were easy to fix. These days, everything is complicated.
I was so busy doing it all myself, afraid of losing money, I didn’t have time to do all the things I was best at doing (making money).
Literally, I was saving $50 or $100 and losing $1,000 and $10,000 dollar opportunities.
Not smart! 🧠
What got me to the place of being able to own my own business is the same thing that got me stuck.
I was afraid to lose a buck. 💵
